Port Geographe Busselton Canal House Design

Another canal house design in Port Geographe Busselton to be built by Anthony Waugh of Proliving.

The front elevation is dominated by a bold blade wall clad in Scyon Stria which wraps around to the East Elevation on one side and contrasts nicely with walls of rendered masonry to the north and west. Scyon Matrix is also used in places to give relief from the horizontality of the Stria. The roofscape is a mixture of cubist and skillion.

This will be on site soon as the building licence application is now under way.

What A Challenge in Fremantle

House in central Fremantle on a 260 sqm block.

The Strata Lot was carved off the backyard of an existing 1970’s brick and tile house and my client wanted a modern house, utilizing north sun to the living areas but addressing overlooking issues as well.

What a challenge!

Parapets on 2 boundaries and double storey have made it possible and now we must sit down with the City Planners.

Cape Rise House Featured

One of my recent building designs has been featured in a national industry magazine and received tremendous feedback from industry experts and manufacturers.

The recently completed house in Cape Rise used a mixture of Hardies Scyon range of claddings (Matrix and Stria).

The effect was so successful and handsome, the state Hardies’ R & D rep brought a mini bus load of builders down from Perth to show them how it can be done.

The same house has also attracted the attention of the Hardies national executives who will be featuring it in the next addition of their online magazine “Light Home”
